Where email notification is configured, a copy or notification may also be processed by the configured email provider. A submission receipt confirms storage, rather than guaranteeing that an email has arrived.

The form uses security checks and temporary rate limiting to reduce abuse. The web server and hosting systems may record technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs and timestamps, for operation and troubleshooting.
